Have I told you before how much I enjoy a good engagement shoot? Well…I do!
I love having the opportunity to really get to know my couples ‘up-close’ and take them from “I hate having my picture taken” to “Wow, that was so much fun! Thank you! We love them and can’t wait for the day now!” – really, is there anything better than that?
It’s really simple. Let’s go and have some fun! Fun = laughter = relaxation = more fun = emotion = awesome pictures = happy, excited couple = happy snapper!
Last Saturday, I had the pleasure of shooting Rachel & James’ engagement shoot, with the beauty of Westbere Lakes as a backdrop. I love heading out into nature and finding awesome and different spots to shoot portraits and Saturday was no exception. Evening light is just the best, because you can easily find some lovely contrast of light and shade and shoot images that have a little more ‘pop’ (if that’s even a thing?!). There is also the added bonus that my couples get used to being in front of the camera without loads of pairs of eyes watching them (and there aren’t too many people to witness my crap jokes!). Click here to find out a little more about why I include these shoots as standard.
Rachel & James – you guys were a dream! Jess and I are so excited for your big day in a few weeks time.
Here are some of my favourites from an excellent evening…
